Welcome

"Anansi
a Mek Nuff-Nuff Tings".......... Come and See the latest just Spun from
de Web.
Anansi was orally exported from West Africa
to the islands of the West Indies during the slave trade and has been handed
down from generation to generation. The language that is used in
Jamaica in the re-telling of these Anansi stories still bears testament
to its African origins. Much of the words used in the Jamaican "patois"
are derivatives or are very similar to the ones the Africans used when
they arrived in Jamaica many years ago. Throughout generations Anansi
was used as an example for all to see. When he is bad, he serves
as an example of what not to do, when he is good he gives hope to bad or
desperate situations. Norma
Darby and Hazel Nicholson, second cousins of Brer Anansi under
the directorship of the Spiderman himself bring Anansi's creativity to
Anansi Creations.
Anansi Creations is "Jamacentric"
and brings us every facet of our rich and varied West Indian Culture.
